In my life this week...CHAOS. all four kids have been down with flu at some point or other this week and DD4's developing tonsillitis again :(
I am craving a solid nights sleep.
In our homeschool this week...surprisingly we managed to mostly stay on track, although we did officially mark Fri up as a sick day and snuggled on the sofa watching documentaries (my sick day not theirs) so will have art, geometry and Spanish to squeeze in somewhere next week.
Places we're going and people we're seeing...not many ventures out this week but looking forward to next weeks craft workshop, baking afternoon and planting.
My favorite thing this week was...'Mummy can I cuddle you?' may these moments last forever
What's working/not working for us...Montessori is working very well for us although I think we could benefit from a more focused spelling programme and have been looking at a couple trying to decide which will work best.
Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...Any suggestions for a good spelling programme?
A photo, video, link, or quote to share...My favourite quote this week is from Mandela 'We must use time wisely and forever realise that the time is always ripe to do good'

Hi! We like Sequential Spelling at our house, and I supplement with lists I make up (to coincide with all areas of curriculum) on spellingcity.com. I am following your blog now! Stop by and say hello!

We found kidspell.com this year. We also use spellingcity.com for additional resources, but kidspell.com has an amazing amount of lessons to take you all through the school years.
Thank you for linking up to NOBH, and if you are interested I have a challenge going on over at my blog. Here is the link: http://lynishiskid.blogspot.com/2011/01/day-in-our-life-blog-hop-woman-of-noble.html
Have a blessed day!
Thanks for sharing the fun valentine downloads! Hope your family gets better soon (and mom gets sleep!). Hopped on over from workbox yahoo group.
Hello! I'm a new follower from the workboxes group. I hope you'll consider returning the favor!

I love when my daughter wants to cuddle. May they stay this age forever :)
Hi! I found your post here when you linked it up to NOBH. I'm your newest follower! Your children are beautiful! I also homeschool my 4 "cupcakes". We use All About Spelling for my 3rd grade son and it's a great program that we have enjoyed. It's a very teacher directed program and I think on the expensive side, but my son has benefited from using it! Thanks for joining in on the NOBH. It's always fun to "meet" new bloggers!
Your daughter's cuddle comment was so sweet! We are fans of All About Spelling. For some reason those colorful letter tiles really work well with hands-on, wiggly children--especially those who don't like to write! Plus the logic behind the lessons is very good and sequential and it is very easy to use.
