Elementary lessons

Today we caught up on some suffix reviews and geometry.
DD6 & DD8 were presented with a list of root words and a list of suffixes they had to see how many suffixes could be used with each root word and record their results.
For geometry we worked on triangles - using the geometric sticks to make different types and review the names (isosceles, equilateral, scalene etc) then we did the angles in a triangle
First they had to guess if it would have a larger or smaller total angle compared to a circle (sneaky way to get in a quick review). Then use the protractor to measure the angles and see if a pattern emerged.

Finally they had to draw around and cut out 3 triangles for their record sheet.
