Planned Practical Life

Just thought I'd better let you know what PL activities DD2 is doing (so you didn't think it was all unplanned)

She has been working on whisking - initially with a small whisk (the dropper bottle contains some washing up liquid so it makes bubbles if she does it right)
then progressing to the rotating whisk
She has folding (small squares of felt folded and pressed so she can match the creases - half, quarter, diagonal half and diagonal quarters)

Pouring (this is bird food as it ties in nicely with her bird themed sensory box - I'll post more about that later)
As you can see someone else decided she liked pouring too : )
DD2 is also being introduced to table cleaning (the bottle contains water with Tea Tree essential oil)
She has also kept her spooning activity (from her Easter set)
and she is working on Locks (the combination lock is her favourite as she gets to spin the dials - but as yet she hasn't managed to open it)

I am linking this up over at one hook wonder so pop over and view what all the other Montessori families are doing this week.

Looks like a ton of fun!! However I must say that unplanned is alright too!

Very attractive. I bet tiny hands will be busy!

These look great. I can't wait til J-jo is a bit older (he's 21 months) so he can do some of these.

Oh, you've reminded me to set out a bubble-making lesson soon! And a combination lock too - thanks for the ideas. Thanks also for linking to Montessori Monday! :)
