Animal Classification Invetebrates

We worked on invertebrates today. We used our board to layout the groups and briefly discussed what each contained

then moved our focus to Arthropods (on the reverse of the board)

once we had discussed and listed all the characteristics of the main classes we looked at some preserved insects and myrapods I'd borrowed from Booksplus

we sorted some great insect cards (bought on e-bay)

then tried to match the x-ray with the correct picture.

I sent Lilly and Sunflower off to write up what they'd learnt while Rose used her trays and Tulip worked on her phonics.
